Lions fall at Wofford in exhibition

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team fell to NCAA DI opponent Wofford in exhibition play on Friday afternoon by a score of 97-46.  

The Terriers were led by the trio of Fletcher Magee, Cameron Jackson and Nathan Hoover.  Magee and Jackson each had 18 points while Hoover added another 17 for Wofford.  Jackson earned a double-double, pulling down 10 rebounds.

Ja'Shawn Brooks led the Lions with 13 points and added three rebounds.  Matthew Powell chipped in 10 points and shot 4-of-6 from the floor.  Reggie Wright had a team-high five rebounds.

Wofford shot 53 percent from the floor compared to the Lions' 36.7 percent.

Mars Hill returns to action on Tuesday, November 27th.  They face Southern Wesleyan on the road.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
