Mars Hill finishes last at South/Southeast Super Regional

CONOVER, N.C. - Despite a 29 stroke improvement from Round 1, the Mars Hill Lions men's golf team remained in last place to close out the South/Southeast Super Regional Tuesday afternoon.  Harry Butler shot -2 and tied for 18th overall.

The Lions rough start did not allow them to move up the leaderboard throughout Round 2 of the tournament.  Butler made the highest individual jump in standings, moving up 19 spots.  Luke Challis had the highest individual improvement from the first round.  After shooting a +95 round, Challis bounced back with a +76, 19 strokes better than Monday's total.

Hunter Morrison finished tied for 50th after shooting a second round 73.  Callum Ritchie and Garrett Freeman rounded out the Lions golfers with scores of +20 and +40.
