Four Lions Earn All-SAC Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Four Mars Hill men's soccer players have earned All-SAC honors, the conference announced today. Senior midfielder Alex Mullen and sophomore defender Christian McArthur have been named to the All-SAC First Team, while junior midfielder Brayhan Yrio and sophomore midfielder Jack Donaldson earned Honorable Mention honors.

"Congratulations to each individual on this honor," head coach Gary Hamel said. "I'm happy for each of them, but ultimately it comes down to team success."

Mullen led the Lions with seven goals and three assists this season. He was named the AstroTurf SAC Player of the Week for the week of October27 and is the league leader with 59 shots. Mullen earns All-SAC honors for the third time in his career as the Adelaide, Australia native earned Second Team honors in 2011 and First Team accolades in 2012.

McArthur has provided strong defensive play for the Lions this season and has taken 13 shots this season, good for eighth place on the team.

Yrio has scored three goals for Mars Hill in his first season in the American collegiate ranks, including a two goal performance against Coker on October 11 in which he scored the match-winning goal with less than a minute remaining in the second overtime period. He was named the AstroTurf SAC Player of the Week on October 13.

Donaldson has scored three goals for the Lions this season, finding the back of the net against Newberry on September 13 as well as at Carson-Newman on October 22 and at Brevard on October 25.
