Mars Hill downed by No. 5 Wingate

WINGATE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (6-6, 0-2 SAC) was shutout 7-0 by No. 5 Wingate (5-1, 1-0 SAC) on the road Monday afternoon.

The Lions' Ben Reid was able to push No. 4 Daniel Belsito to a tiebreaker in the second set, but fell by a score of 7-6 in his attempt to force a third and deciding set.

Mars Hill returns to action on Saturday, March 2nd when they take on the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan on the road in non-conference play.  First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
