2021 MHU Fall COVID-19 Spectator Protocols
MARS HILL ATHLETICS COVID-19 OUTDOOR EVENTS
FAN PROTOCOLS (Fall 2021)
- Masks are not required outside at any of the athletic venues. Masks must be worn in restrooms.
- There is no attendance restriction for home football games.
- Fans are encouraged to not to congregate at the concession stand or bathroom areas.
- All fans will be required to enter through the main gate for soccer matches located beside the Ammons Field House. Three gates will be open for football games. Ticket prices for soccer matches will be $5. Ticket prices for football will be $13 for adults and $7 for students. Mars Hill students, faculty and staff will be admitted free for all home events by showing their MHU identification card.
- Tailgating spots for football games can be reserved online by visiting: https://www.mhu.edu/?s=football+parking. Spaces can be purchased on game day with cash only.
- There are no distancing policies, however, highly encouraged for fans to be spaced out when possible.
- Concessions will be sold at all events possible.
- Officials are required to have proof of COVID vaccination or provide a negative PCR test 72 hours before the contest or antigen test by the day of competition.
- Fans are not allowed to be in or near team areas including, but not limited to locker room areas, team benches, huddles, etc.
- Sidelines for the players have been extended, allowing a greater area of distancing between the teams.
- Fans are not permitted to be on the field at any time pregame, halftime or postgame.
- Every home football contest will be live streamed. Links can be found on marshilllions.com

MARS HILL ATHLETICS COVID-19 VOLLEYBALL
FAN PROTOCOLS (Fall 2021)
- MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES BY EVERYONE IN THE GYM.
- Officials and teams will park in the Ponder Field lot or the Fox Dormitory parking lot across from Chambers Gymnasium.
- Officials are required to have proof of COVID vaccination or provide a negative PCR test 72 hours before the contest or antigen test by the day of competition.
- Admission for volleyball matches will be $5. Mars Hill players will have a pass list with up to four guests at the ticket gate. Mars Hill students, faculty and staff will be admitted free for all home events by showing their MHU identification card.
- Both home and visiting fans are permitted.
- Every home volleyball contest will be live streamed. Links can be found on marshilllions.com
- Fans are not allowed to be in or near team areas including, but not limited to locker room areas, team benches, huddles, etc.
- Groups will be designated to sit at least 6-feet apart, as marked by the taped X’s in the bleachers.
- Fans are not permitted to congregate in the gym or lobby postgame so the facility can be sanitized.
- There will be six chairs set aside for both teams to use for timeouts. Timeouts can be held in the corner areas of the gym near each team’s bench.
