Bio
Charles “Buddy” Franklin is a native of Mars Hill, North Carolina and joined the MHU athletic department on May 1, 2025, as an associate athletic trainer.
Buddy graduated from MHU in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. Following his graduation, Buddy worked for Prisma Health System in upstate South Carolina as an athletic trainer. From 2019 to 2021 he covered all sports at Laurens District 55 High School, including the AAAAA Region II Champion football team. Following his time at Laurens High School, Buddy worked at Southern Wesleyan University from 2021 to 2025, where he covered all men’s and women’s sports.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends at their farm in Madison County.
