Brandon Beard and Garrett Farrimond helped lead the Lions to a fifth place finish Saturday morning at the NCAA DII Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships in Wingate, North Carolina.
The Mars Hill cross country teams will head to Hickory, North Carolina for the South Atlantic Conference Championships Saturday, October 21. The meets are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.

Several Mars Hill Lions accomplished their personal best times during the 8K race at the Furman Invitational Saturday morning. Noah Allison led the way, setting a new personal best time on the course from last year's race.
The Mars Hill Lions men's cross country team kicked off their season at the Covered Bridge Cross Country Meet hosted by Appalachian State Friday evening. Noah Allison finished 25th overall and 2nd in D-II with a time of 26:57.50.
