Reid named to SAC Honorable Mention All-Conference team
Mars Hill men's tennis player Ben Reid was named to the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Honorable Mention Singles All-Conference team, as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill men's tennis player Ben Reid was named to the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Honorable Mention Singles All-Conference team, as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
Reid, a junior, compiled a 7-11 record over the 2017-18 campaign. He earned three conference wins over Lenoir-Rhyne's Hamed Gandouz on March 9, Marco Meon of Tusculum on March 28 and Carson-Newman's Gabriel Dabdab on April 5; the latter two going three-sets.
The Gloucester, England native also went 6-12 in doubles action, earning four of those wins with different partners. Two of the wins came in conference with Rodrigo Ramos. They earned victories against Tomas Hons and Shane O'Dea of Lenoir-Rhyne on March 9 and the pairing of Julian Bosch and Joel Dunlap of Queens on April 13. Both scores were 8-5.
Reid is also a member of the Mars Hill Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
