Lions named a 2019 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad
The Mars Hill University women's lacrosse team was named as a Division II IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad for the 2018-19 year.
GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has named 312 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads for the 2018-19 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
The Lions finished their second season with a 5-10 record that saw three players with 45 or more points. Sophomore Kiersten Foust was named as a All-SAC Honorable Mention after leading the team with 40 goals.
