Barnas Named AstroTurf SAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Freshman kicker Dylan Barnas has been named the league's Special Teams Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill freshman kicker Dylan Barnas has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, league officials announced this morning.
Barnas earned his first weekly award after he kicked the game-winning 28-yard field goal in Mars Hill's 17-14 victory at Newberry on Saturday. Barnas made the field goal along with a pair of extra points in heavy rain. This is the first weekly award for Barnas in his Mars Hill career.
Tusculum quarterback Luke Lancaster was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Catawba's Mark McDaniel earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Mars Hill travels to Catawba on Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
