Mars Hill places 15th at Donald Ross Intercollegiate
The Mars Hill men's golf team placed 15th at the conclusion of the two-day Donald Ross Intercollegiate, played at the Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club.
MORGANTON, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's golf team placed 15th at the conclusion of the two-day Donald Ross Intercollegiate, played at the Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club.
John Moss was the top placing Lion, finishing 48th overall. Moss shot a team-best 73 in the second round late Monday afternoon and on Tuesday, matched his first round score of 76 to shoot a combined 225.
Chase Cheatham finished 75th, second best for the Lions. His best round was his opening 77 on Monday morning. Placing behind Cheatham was Addison Bahr, who after back-to-back 83 rounds, shot a third round 75.
Shooting a combined 243 and finishing two strokes behind Bahr was Jose Moreno, placing 82nd overall. Rounding out the Lions' group was Gabe Gonzales, who placed 87th overall and shaved seven strokes off of his first two round scores (86) by shooting 79 on Tuesday morning.
The Lions shot a combined 939 over the three rounds.
