Lions named USC Team Academic Award recipient
The Mars Hill men's team, with a 3.13 GPA, was named a United Soccer Coaches' Team Academic Award recipient.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (July 28, 2022) – United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
A total of 800 soccer teams (299 men, 501 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 academic year. Of that total, 151 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
The Lions were one of four men's programs awarded in the South Atlantic Conference, sporting a 3.13 team GPA.
