Mars Hill felled by C-N on road
The Mars Hill men's swim team fell to Carson-Newman on the road by a score of 196-39 Saturday afternoon.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Mars Hill men's swim team fell to Carson-Newman on the road by a score of 196-39 Saturday afternoon.
Matthew Goslin earned nine points in the 100 yard breaststroke, claiming the lone Lion win on the day with a time of 1:02.91. In the same race, Ronin Pettit placed third with a time of 1:05.39, earning an additional three points. Goslin also placed second in the 200 yard breaststroke, earning four more points for the Lions.
Thomas Gibson placed third in the 50 yard freestyle while Dalton Davidson and Abbot Nixon finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Lion 200 yard medley relay team of Goslin, Pettit, Brooks, and Gibson turned in a time of 1:43.99 to earn two points.

Mars Hill returns to the pool on Saturday, January 29 when they face Emory & Henry. The meet is slated to start at 2 p.m.
