Mars Hill defeats EHC on road
The Mars Hill men's swim team took down Emory & Henry Saturday afternoon by a score of 105-89.
EMORY, Va. - The Mars Hill men's swim team took down Emory & Henry Saturday afternoon by a score of 105-89.
The group of Eduardo Motta, Matthew Goslin, Raul Briceno, and Thomas Gibson took first in the 200 meter medley relay with a time of 1:54.36 to secure 11 points for the Lions.
Briceno won the 800 meter freestyle with a time of 8:51.39 followed by Samuel Brooks, who swam a time of 9:37.93. Brooks claimed first in the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 4:31.83.
Briceno also won the 400 meter IM with a time of 4:49.94. Goslin placed second in the event with a time of 5:12.48. Goslin claimed victory in the 100 meter breaststroke, turning in a time of 1:12.61.
In the 100 meter backstroke, Motta finished first with a time of 1:05.89 while in the 100 meter freestyle, Gibson placed first with a time of 53.06.

Mars Hill returns to the pool on Friday, January 20 when they swim against Carson-Newman. First event is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
