Lions split versus King, Lenoir-Rhyne
MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill men's swim team took home a win over King University in the tri-meet against King and Lenoir Rhyne.
The men's relay team of Jakub Szpaler, David Komljenovic, Rodrigo Leon Tejada and Nicolas Gomez started off strong with a win over LR in the 200 medley relay (1:38.83). That energy was carried into the 200 Freestyle where Luka Jankovic secured a second place finish with a time of 1:47.71.
The Lions had a strong showing in the men's 50 free with Juan Andres Garcia taking first with a time of 21.92 and teammate Evangelos Daniil following close behind in third with a time of 22.82.
Szpaler earned several points for the lions with his first place finish in the 100 backstroke (51.72) and second place finish in the 100 breastroke (1:01.22).
The Lions are at home again on Saturday, November 1 against Emmanuel. The meet is set for a 1 p.m. start.
