Lions win overall meet at King Invite
Nine school records along with over 50 personal best times set during three-day midseason meet.
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Mars Hill swim teams wrapped up their midseason meet, the King Invite, held in Bristol, Tennessee on Monday, November 24-Wednesday, November 26, taking the overall crown.
The Lions combined for 1,437 points (751 women's/686 men's) to claim the overall title. The men's squad took home their title with four gold medal winning performances, eight silvers, and three bronzes.
David Komljenovic led the Lions with 67 points over the three-days, racking up one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
On the women's side, Grace Jenkins was a standout, setting seven of the top 10 best performances during the meet. In that run, she set three school records in the the 200 freestyle relay, the 100 butterfly (56.01), and the 100 freestyle (52.64). She totaled six golds and one bronze.
