Lions finish round one of MHU Fall Invitational in fourth place
The Mars Hill women's golf team shot a combined 329 to end round one of the Mars Hill University Fall Invitational in fourth place Monday afternoon.
FLETCHER, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's golf team shot a combined 329 to end round one of the Mars Hill University Fall Invitational in fourth place Monday afternoon.
Linnea Karlsson was the top placing Lion at the end of Monday's round, shooting a first round 79 which saw her finish in 13th place. Both Janie Gooch and Marie Syvertsen finished the day tied for 19th, shooting 83 on the day.
Emilee Wenmouth was tied for 23rd while Jasmine Chesnut placed 32nd for the Lions. Playing as individuals, Jordan Martindale finished the first round tied for 26th while Ashley Holland placed 40th.

The Lions sit 19 strokes behind third place Lincoln Memorial and will wrap up play Tuesday afternoon.
