Mars Hill sweeps King, Lenoir-Rhyne
MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's swim team took wins over both Lenoir-Rhyne and King University in their tri-meet over the weekend.
Maria Jose Orozco led the Lions in points with her individual first place finishes in the 50 free with a time of 23.75 and the 100 fly with a time of 59.78.
Grace Jenkins was right behind Orozco in points with a second place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:03.41 and a first-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 53.98.
The relay team of Jenkins, Sydney Koshinski, Catalina Portilla, and Orozco closed out the meet strong in the 200 freestyle relay, earning first place with a time of 1:40.07.
The Lions are at home again on November 1 against Emmanuel. The meet is set for a 11 a.m. start.
