Johnson records double-double versus Emory & Henry

MEADOWVIEW, Va. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (3-4, 3-1 SAC) was defeated by Emory & Henry (4-2) by a score of 86-74 Monday evening.
The Wasps used a 54-point first half to carry an 18-point lead into the second half. Led by Malcolm Morgan's 15 points and three three-pointers, Emory & Henry shot over 55 percent from the floor. Jalen Leftwich added 11 points.
Mars Hill shot nearly 35 percent from the floor and hit just four of their 17 three-point attempts. Both Isayah Johnson and Jay Hickman scored six points in the half behind Kadyn Dawkins' seven.
The Lions turned the tables in the second half, converting on nearly 50 percent of their shots and making a late rally, however, the Wasps' lead was too much to overcome.
Isaiah Jones scored nine off the bench, hitting two of his three attempts from beyond the arc. Hickman added another eight. For Emory & Henry, Tyler Arnold led the way with eight points followed by Cade Looney and Morgan's seven points apiece.
