CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (4-11, 4-8 SAC) was defeated by a score of 100-52 versus No. 16 Queens (15-3, 11-3 SAC) Saturday afternoon.
The Lions shot just 30 percent from the floor while the Royals' offense was able to hit 49 percent of their shots and drain 10 three-pointers. Isaiah Jones led the Lions with 13 points, scoring all 13 in the first half of play. Five Royals ended the contest in double-digits, led by Jamari Smith's 19 on the day.
Queens led 38-27 heading into the second half and exploded for 62 points, hitting nearly 60 percent of their shots and converting on all 18 free throw opportunities.
