Wenmoth, Lions win Pfeiffer Invitational
The Mars Hill women's golf team sit atop the leaderboard after Monday's opening round of the 2021 Pfeiffer University Spring Invitational.
HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - Emilee Wenmoth and the Mars Hill women's golf team claimed victory at the 2021 Pfeiffer University Spring Invitational.
ROUND 2
Wenmoth cemented her victory by shooting a second round 80, cutting two strokes from her first round total.
Jalen Castle made a strong charge for the win, but fell one stroke shy and placed second overall. She shot the best round of the afternoon, a 79, shaving five strokes off of her first round score.
Jordan Martindale jumped from eighth to sixth, shooing 87 on Tuesday, knocking off two strokes from her first round total.
Leann Crotts moved from 22nd to 20th, also deducting a stroke from her first round total.
Wenmoth was the individual champion and, along with Castle, was named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Lions return to the links on Monday, March 22 to partake in the Tusculum University Spring Invitational.
ROUND 1

Emilee Wenmoth leads all players after shooting an opening round 82. Teammate Jalen Castle sits in second place, trailing by two strokes.
Jordan Martindale ended the day in eighth place with a first-round 90.
Leann Crotts rounded out the Lions squad, sitting 22nd after the first round.
The team combined to shoot 354 on the day, a nine-stroke advantage over Adrian.
