Mars Hill opens SAC Championship in 12th
The Mars Hill women's golf team opened the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship Monday afternoon, placing 12th after the first two rounds.
TAZWELL, Va. - The Mars Hill women's golf team opened the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship Monday afternoon, placing 12th after the first two rounds.
Jalen Castle shot a first-round 78 to lead the Lions. She ended the day tied for 48th, the highest placing Lion.
Ending the day tied for 50th, Emilee Wenmoth shot a first-round 85 and a team-best second round of 88.
Jordan Martindale and Ashley Holland ended the opening rounds in 57th and 58th, respectively, shooting 185 and 189 on the day.
The Lions shot 348 in the first round and 370 in the second, combining for a total of 718.
