Regan Duty named head volleyball coach
MARS HILL, N.C. – Regan Duty has been named the new head volleyball coach, as announced by Director of Athletics Rick Baker on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Duty joins the Lions after serving as the assistant coach at Presbyterian College the past two seasons. While at Presbyterian, she has also been the head coach at Carolina One Volleyball Club.
"I'm thrilled to be at Mars Hill and lead this program in the South Atlantic Conference," Duty said. "Coming back to the South Atlantic Conference, where I competed during my own college career, feels like coming home."
She began her coaching career in the fall of 2019 as an assistant coach/team mentor for FCA Upstate Volleyball Club, holding that role for four years.
Duty, a graduate of South Atlantic Conference member Anderson University, had a stellar playing career. She helped lead the Trojans to two regular season SAC championships, earned All-SAC First and Second Team, D2CCA All-Region Second Team and AVCA All-Region First Team honors. She was also named an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention.
"We are excited to welcome Regan to the Mars Hill family," Baker stated. "The volleyball knowledge she will bring from her coaching and playing experiences puts us in a great position to continue the success of our program."
Duty added, "I can't wait to see our student-athletes push themselves, compete at a high level, and continue developing their game. Let's get to work."
