Wainwright named SAC Field Athlete of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Will Wainwright was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.
Wainwright, a freshman thrower from O'Brien, Fla., took first place in the javelin at the UNC-Asheville Bulldog Invitational with a throw of 61.25m. That throw is a new school record and an NCAA Division II Provisional mark.
