Johnson Leads Lions after Opening Round of Converse Spring Invite
Sarah Johnson fired an opening round 84 to lead Mars Hill at the opening round of the Converse Invitational
SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Junior Sarah Johnson fired an opening round 84 to lead the Mars Hill women's golf team at the opening round of the Converse College Spring Invite on Monday at the Carolina Country Club.
Emma Lundvall finished with an opening round 88, followed by Victoria Barrett with an 89, Lindsey Ball with a 97 and Raven Brown with a 99. As a team, the Lions sit in 11th place with a team score of 358.
Nicola Robertson of King leads with a three-over-par 75, followed by teammate Elizabeth Swallow and Queens' Grace Glaze one shot behind. King leads Mount Olive by nine strokes with a team score of 314.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow.
