Johnson Leads Lions in Opening Round of Pfeiffer Invitational
Sarah Johnson shot an opening round 79 to lead the Mars Hill women’s golf team at the Pfieffer Invitational at Hilton Head Lakes Golf Club.
BLUFFTON, S.C. - Sarah Johnson shot an opening round 79 to lead the Mars Hill women's golf team at the Pfieffer Invitational at Hilton Head Lakes Golf Club.
Johnson's opening round puts her in a tie for 25th place. Victoria Barrett shot an 84, followed by Lindsey Ball (87), Emma Lundvall (92) and Raven Brown (96).
UNC Pembroke's Laura Bird fired an opening round 70 and leads by two strokes over Elizabeth Swallow of King University. UNC Pembroke leads King by five strokes in the team standings. Mars Hill is in 15th place.
The second round is scheduled for tomorrow.
