Lions open King Invite in ninth
The Mars Hill women's golf team opened the King Invite by ending the day in ninth place.
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's golf team opened the King Invite by ending the day in ninth place.
Jalen Castle shot an 80 on the day, sitting tied for 11th overall and leading the Lions. Chelsea Baker shot an 86, ending the round tied for 34th.
Finishing two strokes behind Baker was Leah Matney, who ended the day tied for 40th while Caroline Rizzo shot a first-round 93 to place 51st.
Jordan Martindale rounded out the Lions' squad by placing 57th on the day.
The Lions shot a combined 347 on the day and sit 13 strokes behind Southern Wesleyan for eighth spot.
