Munn named Director of Soccer Operations
Mars Hill Athletics has promoted head men’s soccer coach Gregg Munn as the Director of Soccer Operations and named Holly Rawcliffe as the new head women’s soccer coach.
MARS HILL, N.C. – Mars Hill Athletics has promoted head men's soccer coach Gregg Munn as the Director of Soccer Operations and named Holly Rawcliffe as the new head women's soccer coach.
"We are excited for Coach Rawcliffe and Coach Munn to lead both of our soccer programs to the next level," stated Director of Athletics Rick Baker. "Both coaches have a passion for Mars Hill Athletics and the University as a whole to flourish."
Munn will oversee both the men's and women's soccer programs at Mars Hill while remaining head coach of the men's team. He will assist with the organizational and operational duties for both programs.
In the fall of 2021, Munn led the Lions to the South Atlantic Conference finals for the first time in over a decade, coached four All-SAC selections, including Kevonte Willoughby-Williams who was named the SAC Freshman of the Year.
In the spring of 2021 while leading the program to the SAC Tournament for the first time in four years, Munn was named the SAC Coach of the Year while coaching the SAC Scholar Athlete of the Year and several All-SAC selections.
Munn stated, "I'm very honored and grateful to the Mars Hill University administration for their belief in me to step into this role. I am excited for what the future holds for the university and with the men's and women's soccer programs here at Mars Hill."

Rawcliffe began her coaching career as a graduate assistant with the Lions during the spring 2021 campaign and was later promoted to assistant coach for the 2021 fall season.
"I would like to thank Director of Athletics Rick Baker and President Tony Floyd for the opportunity to lead this program forward," Rawcliffe stated. "It is an extremely proud moment for me and I believe the future of this program is bright."
She added, "I can't wait to get started building and creating a successful women's soccer program at Mars Hill University."
