Lions dominate second tri-meet of season
The Lions defeat both Converse and Newberry on road.
NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Mars Hill acrobatics & tumbling team cruised to two wins on Wednesday night, defeating both Converse and Newberry.

The Lions swept all six events on the day, highlighted by their near perfect pyramid event. With a start value of 30.00 for the three heats, the Lions scored a 9.80 in the inversion, 9.40 in the synchronized, and a stellar 9.90 in the open heat, racking up a score of 29.10.
At the start of the second half, Mars Hill continued their stout performance in the toss, scoring 27.15 out of 29.70 points, highlighted by their 9.50 in the 450 Salto.
Mars Hill returns to the mats on Wednesday, March 18 when they travel to take on King. The meet is set for a 6 p.m. start.
