Lions sit in sixth after day one of L-R Bears Invitational
The Mars Hill men's outdoor track & field team opened action at the L-R Bears Invitational Friday afternoon.
HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's outdoor track & field team opened action at the L-R Bears Invitational Friday afternoon.
Highlights from Day 1 of competition:
Brandon Bailes placed fourth in javelin with a personal best throw of 43.19m. Bailes earned five points for the men's team. Justus Shelton placed fifth in javelin with a personal best throw of 42.59m. He earned four points for the men's team.
Lee Prescott placed ninth in discus with a throw of 34.62m.
Levi Higgins set a new personal best in long jump with a jump of 5.34m. Higgins placed 10th overall.
The men sit in sixth place at the end of day 1 with a team score of nine points.
