EMORY, Va. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team (2-1-4, 0-0-2 SAC) drew 1-1 with Emory & Henry (2-3-2, 1-1-1 SAC) Sunday night on the road.
In the 19th minute, Mila Mzamane netted his second of the season to open the scoring. Milan Ales and Sam Ulrich Da Silva were credited with the assists.
Mars Hill tied the game in the 41st minute as Mathias Karhus Mjaavatn scored his first career goal, tucking home a rebound off of Kyle Williams' shot. Williams was credited with the assist for his first point of the season.
Karhus Mjaavtan led Mars Hill with two shots while Williams, Frederik Dyrup, Jens Haukeland, Luke Kelly, Charlie Drury, and Kai Stolp each added a shot apiece.
Both goalkeepers--Baptiste Berthozat and Logan Cassel--had identical stat lines, facing four shots and making three saves.
The Lions return home to host Wingate on Wednesday, October 1. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
