YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team (3-4-7) drew 1-1 with No. 7 Young Harris (10-0-3) Tuesday night on the road in non-conference action.
In the 41st minute, Mars Hill opened the scoring as Abiel Lopez netted his first goal with the team. Mathias Karhus Mjaavatn picked up the assist on the goal.
With under a minute remaining in the half, Young Harris tied the game as Daniel Osorno scored his fourth of the campaign, assisted by Thomas Kleinpenning.
The Lions were outshot 13-5 in the first half, 18-7 overall.
Both starting goalkeepers--Zacharias Killemose and Stathis Paplomatas--recorded identical stat lines, facing five shots and making four saves.
Mars Hill closes out their home slate for the regular season on Friday, October 24 when they host Catawba. Senior Day celebrations will start prior to the 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
