Arendt, Mannix lead Lions to SAC win over E&H
Both Sam Arendt (2G, 3A) and Jake Mannix (3G, 2A) racked up five points in the Lions' 17-9 win over the Wasps.

EMORY, Va. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (2-9, 1-5 SAC) defeated Emory & Henry (1-9, 0-5 SAC) by a score of 17-9 Wednesday night on the road.
Mars Hill led 7-5 at the half. James Hartley had two goals after 30 minutes of play while Jake Mannix, Aiden McNamara, Luke Moore, Sam Arendt, and Dillon Buran each tallied. Caleb Neslon collected two assists.
The Lions' offense continued to roll in the third, scoring eight goals to head into the final 15 minutes up 15-7. Both Mannix and Hartley completed their hat-trick bids while Arendt, Buran, McNamara and Charlie Howland each netted a goal.
In the fourth, Howland and Moore struck for their second goals of the contest as the Lions closed out Emory & Henry for their first SAC win of the season.
Mannix (3G, 2A) and Arendt (2G, 3A) led all players with five points while Hartley led all players with four goals. Nelson led all players with four assists. Buran and Howland ended the night with three points apiece (2G, 1A).
Xavier Wells stopped 16 shots for the win while AJ Cakir made 20 saves in the losing effort.
Mars Hill returns home on Saturday, April 11 when they host Coker. Faceoff is set for 3 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
