SALISBURY, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (2-11, 1-7 SAC) was defeated by Catawba (11-2, 6-2 SAC) by a score of 26-4 Saturday afternoon.
The Lions potted one goal apiece in each of the four quarters: Caleb Nelson in the first, James Hartley in the second, Aiden McNamara in the third, and Luke Moore in the fourth.
Tanner Stout led all players with 10 points, netting six goals and adding four assists. Michael Lindsey added five (3G, 2A) on the day.
Ben LoPiccolo stopped five shots for the win. The trio of Xavier Wells, Truxton Reynolds, and Dylan Smerek combined for 11 saves with Wells collecting eight.
Mars Hill wraps up the regular season on Wednesday, April 22 when they host Lincoln Memorial. First faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
