Viscusi Named AstroTurf Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Jessica Viscusi has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Outdoor Track Runner of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C.- Senior Jessica Viscusi has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Outdoor Track Runner of the Week, the league announced this morning. It is her first honor of the season and second of her career.
Viscusi became the first Mars Hill student-athletes to finish in the 17-minute mark in the 5,000 meters as she recorded a sixth place finish at the Charlotte 49er Classic last weekend with a school-record time of 17:44.26.
Lenor-Rhyne's Haylea Salamon was named the AstroTurf SAC Women's Outdoor Track Field Athlete of the Week.
Mars Hill travels to Winthrop this weekend for the Winthrop Invitational.
