Softball announces several schedule changes
Season-opening games altered due to incoming inclement weather.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill softball team has annoucned several schedule changes prior to the 2026 season's first pitch.
The originally scheduled three-day string of games versus Clark Atlanta, Lynn, and USC Beaufort this weekend has been condensed. The Lions will now just play on Friday, January 30 as part of the Valkyrie Classic, hosted by Converse University. The team will play Lynn at 12 p.m. followed by a 4 p.m. first pitch versus Clark Atlanta. Their game versus USC Beaufort has been canceled.
The Lions first doubleheader of the season versus Belmont Abbey on the road on Tuesday, February 3 has been pushed back to a 1/3 p.m. first pitch, rather than the originally scheduled 12/2 p.m. times.
