Lions win third straight, defeat Dragons at home
Jadein Haynes leads team with 19 points, 12 rebounds for double-double.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's basketball team (3-1) defeated Virginina-Lynchburg (0-4) by a score of 80-63 Wednesday evening inside Chambers Gymnasium.
For the second straight game, the Lions were a menace defensively, causing another 41 turnovers while collecting 21 steals. Both Makayla Street and Adrianna Gullette led the team with five apiece.
Further defensively, Jadein Haynes led the Lions with 12 rebounds while also leading the team with 19 points for the double-double. Street added nine rebounds.
Following Haynes, a trio of Lions netted 15 points apiece, including Gullette, Felesia Ondongo, and Jadyiah Peoples. Peoples, Gullette, and Stella McIntyre each added three assists aside.
Mars Hill takes to the road on Tuesday, November 25 when they face Georgia College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
