MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's basketball team (5-20, 2-16 SAC) was defeated by Lenoir-Rhyne (20-4, 16-2 SAC) by a score of 109-64 Saturday afternoon.
The Bears were led by Abigail Brown's game-high 27 points, where she added a game-high five steals and collected five rebounds. Peyton Harvey added 17 points from the bench. Lauren Arnold netted 18 points while pulling down a game-high eight rebounds.
Makayla Street led the Lions with 15 points and eight rebounds. Kindan Dawson added 13 points followed by 10 apiece from Adrianna Gullette and Kamryn Sainvil.
Lenoir-Rhyne shot 45 percent from the floor, hitting 12 threes on the day, en route to their 15th straight win.
The Lions return to the court on Wednesday, February 18 when they host Lincoln Memorial. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. inside Chambers Gymnasium in the Lions' penultimate home game of the season.
