SALISBURY, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's basketball team (5-22, 2-18 SAC) was defeated by Catawba (11-14, 9-11 SAC) by a score of 75-73 Saturday afternoon.
Kairah Dixon-Booker led all players with 24 points and 14 rebounds for the double-double. Brooklin Ingram followed with 18 points, hitting a team-high three three-pointers.
Jadein Haynes led the Lions with 21 points and 13 rebounds for the double-double, setting a new career-high in points scored. Felesia Ondongo scored a career-high 21 points, hitting seven threes; a game and season-high for the Lions.
Mars Hill returns to the court on Wednesday, February 25 when they face Carson-Newman on the road. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
