Men’s Soccer voted fourth in Southeast by NCAA
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team is ranked fourth in the third NCAA Division II Southeast Region Poll of the season. The Lions (11-5-1) are 11-3-1 against in-region opponents.
Coker owns the top spot in the region. Anderson (S.C.) and Flagler are second and third, respectively. Montevallo, Lees-McRae, North Georgia, Lander, Limestone, and UNC Pembroke round out the top 10. The Lions have defeated North Georgia and Limestone but lost to Anderson.
The top six teams in the Southeast Region in the final poll earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The top four seeds in the Southeast Region will host a tournament game, and the top two seeds will receive a bye through the opening round. The Division II Men's Soccer Committee will release championship selections on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m through NCAA.com. Mars Hill falls within Super Region Two in the selection process.
