Men’s Soccer ranked in top five of NCAA scoring
MARS HILL, N.C. - No. 21-ranked Mars Hill is tied for fourth in the nation in goals per game (4.25), according to the latest NCAA statistics. The Lions are tied for fifth in the country with 17 goals scored.
The Lions are tied with St. Leo and Florida Southern in both categories. UNC Pembroke and Northern Kentucky lead the nation with 21 goals and 5.25 goals per game.
Stephen Bivens, the reigning South Atlantic Conference player of the week, is tied for third in the nation with five goals, tied for 11th in the nation in goals per game (1.25), tied for 14th with 10 total points, tied for 21st in the nation in points per game (2.50). Giovanni Malnati is tied for 21st in the nation with 1.00 goals per game and tied for 31st with 2.33 points per game. Rury Caulfield is tied for 37th with three goals and tied for 46th with seven total points.
Mars Hill travels to Young Harris on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
